Job summary

Children’s Choice Preschool in San Diego County is seeking a caring Preschool Teacher Aide/Driver to support classroom activities and assist the Lead Teacher, while safely transporting children as needed.

The ideal candidate has 12 ECE units, 1–2 years of preschool experience, and a valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record. This full-time, at-will role offers hourly pay with benefits and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

12 Early Childhood Education units must include: Early Child Development; Child, Family & Community; Infant & Toddler; and other Child Development courses.
1–2 years of preschool experience preferred.
Valid California driver’s license with clean driving record; ability to meet company driving requirements.
Must pass DSS Background Check.

Responsibilities

Assist Lead Teacher with implementing curriculum activities.
Safely transport children to and from designated locations per policies and laws.
Attend monthly trainings after hours.
Maintain a clean and organized classroom and vehicle.
Communicate with parents regarding child progress and concerns.
Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, and field trips.
Support DRDP evaluations and classroom documentation.
Be flexible to work with infant, preschool, and school-age classrooms.
