The Teacher Aide is responsible for assisting the teacher in coordinating classroom activities, participating in classroom maintenance and personal care, training new aides, assuming duties of lunch/float aide, and helping the therapist in achieving therapy goals.

Core Responsibilities

  • Assist in coordinating individual and group activities aligned with IEP goals; serve as back-up in the teacher's absence.
  • Participate in classroom maintenance, field trips, feeding, and toileting assistance.
  • Train and orient new aides.
  • Perform duties of lunch/float aide as needed.
  • Support therapists in implementing therapy goals.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with children or coursework in early childhood preferred.
