The Teacher Aide is responsible for assisting the teacher in coordinating classroom activities, participating in classroom maintenance and personal care, assisting in training new aides, assuming duties of lunch/float aide, and supporting the therapist in carrying out therapy goals.

Core Responsibilities

  • Assist in coordinating individual and group activities aligned with IEP goals and plans; serve as backup in the absence of the teacher.
  • Participate in classroom maintenance, field trips, feeding, and toileting assistance.
  • Support and orient new aides during training.
  • Take on duties of lunch/float aide as needed.
  • Assist therapists in implementing therapy goals.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with children or coursework in early childhood preferred.
