The job is for an afternoon preschool teacher in the after school of our preschool. The hours are from 11:30-5:30 from Monday-Friday. We are looking to hire for the 2025-2026 school year. There are summer positions available as well, in the afternoon, during our eight-week summer program.

The teacher is responsible for setting up the afternoon classroom for lunch, nap and snack as well as monitoring the children during nap time and planning activities for the children during the remaining hours. This job is with 2-year-olds, from before lunch until the end of the day. They will also need to keep track of attendance as well as tracking and reporting coupons used for those children staying periodically for Parent's Day Out.

This job requires a degree in ECE or any degree with ECE credentials but we would be willing to consider someone with only the 90 hour or ECE credentials. You will be required to take two days of in-house training as well as online training to participate in the Maryland Credentialing Program; paid for by the school. Depending on your education you may need to take some additional classes required by MSDE licensing which we will pay for.

We are looking for people with a passion to work with children and teachers in a learning environment who can communicate in a professional manner with children, parents and other staff. We are also looking for people with a dependable and positive work ethic.
