Job summary

The Learning Experience in Thousand Oaks, CA is hiring qualified teachers to lead and mentor classrooms, delivering our LEAP Curriculum for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. You will create a safe, nurturing learning environment and communicate regularly with families.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of professional teaching experience preferred.
• High school diploma/GED plus 12 ECE college credits required; associate degree or higher in ECE or related degree preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP).
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Must meet state-specific guidelines for the role.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and mentor co-teachers in your classroom; model behaviors and provide feedback.
• Responsible for overall classroom management, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
• Serve as a role model, using a growth mindset to develop young minds and inspire a love of learning.
• Implement the L.E.A.P. Curriculum® with infants, toddlers, and/or preschool children, adapting to each child's needs.
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
• Communicate regularly with parents, sharing their children's latest adventures and achievements through apps and discussions.
• Support center goals around enrollment and engagement by partnering with staff and leadership.
• Build relationships with families and coworkers to foster a dynamic learning environment.
