Job summary

Magical Beginnings Learning Centers in Pembroke, MA is hiring a warm, reliable Preschool Teacher to join our full‑time preschool program (ages 2.9‑5). You will guide language development, social growth, and hands‑on exploration in a nurturing classroom setting.

The role requires EEC Preschool Certification or CDA, daycare experience, an energetic approach, teamwork, and the ability to work a full 8‑hour shift including opening/closing.

Qualifications

  • EEC Preschool Certification or CDA or equivalent degree and experience (required).
  • Daycare experience in a center‑based, private, or public school setting.

  • Flexibility to work an 8‑hour shift, including opening/closing.
  • Ability to spend extended periods on the floor with children.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with co‑teacher on curriculum, lesson plans, and materials.
  • Maintain safe, clean, and engaging classrooms and routines.
  • Keep parents informed via Class Dojo and classroom boards.
  • Track progress and complete assessments; participate in staff meetings.

Full-Time | Preschool Classroom (Age 2.9-5)

We are currently hiring a warm, reliable, and EEC‑certified Preschool Teacher to join our Pembroke, Massachusetts school. This position works specifically with a classroom of preschoolers – that magical in‑between age where independence is emerging and big feelings meet big imagination.

Qualifications & Responsibilities
  • EEC Teacher Preschool Certification, CDA, or equivalent degree and experience (required)
  • Daycare experience in a center‑based, private, or public school setting
  • An energetic approach to learning and a positive attitude
  • Curiosity, creativity, and a strong team‑focused mindset
  • Flexibility to work an 8‑hour shift within the operating hours of the school, including opening and closing shifts
  • Ability to spend extended periods of time on the floor with the children
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbsAbility to stand up to 90% of the workday
  • Attentiveness, strong time management, and strong collaboration skills
  • Collaborating with your co‑teacher to equally prepare curriculum, lesson plans, materials, and monthly newsletters.
  • Keeping parents informed by posting parent information on the Class Dojo app and classroom boards.
  • Providing a safe environment by maintaining orderly, clean, and appealing classrooms.
  • Encouraging children’s participation by providing age‑appropriate interactive activities.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of the classroom: routine opening/closing of the classroom (including, but not limited to wiping down the toys, cleaning tables, vacuuming the room, sanitizing the room after all children have left, bathrooms, emptying trash, and overall preparation for the next morning).
  • Engaging with students in free play, supervising/zone during outdoor time, helping with bathroom needs and diapering, snack and meal assistance (preparing snacks, heating up lunches, cutting up food, helping open containers, supervision), naptime assistance, etc.
  • Adhering to the school’s structured schedules.
  • Tracking children’s progress and completing assessments.
  • Maintaining your EEC required professional development hours and PQ registry.
  • Attending monthly staff meetings.
  • Creating a fun and safe learning environment for your students.
  • Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with students and parents.
