Abram's Angels Academy is seeking a caring Preschool Teacher to create a safe, nurturing environment that supports social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Plan engaging activities, supervise children, and maintain strong communication with families while adhering to licensing requirements.

Ideal candidates will have a focus on play-based learning, teamwork, and a commitment to children's growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• DCF 45 Hours completed or willing to complete within the required timeframe.
• Ability to pass a Level 2 Background Screening.
• Current CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to meet all state licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and classroom activities.
• Lead circle time, small-group activities, and learning centers.
• Support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment.
• Observe and document children's progress and developmental milestones.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's day and development.
• Assist children with daily routines, including meals, toileting, handwashing, and rest time.
• Maintain accurate attendance and classroom records.
• Follow all DCF licensing regulations, health and safety procedures, and center policies.
• Encourage positive behavior and model appropriate social skills.
• Prepare classroom materials and learning activities in advance.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
• Work collaboratively with other teachers and administration.
• Perform light cleaning duties, including sanitizing toys, tables, and classroom areas.
• Ensure playground and classroom supervision ratios are maintained at all times.
• Create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment for children and families.

About This Role

Abram's Angels Academy is seeking a caring, energetic, and dependable Preschool Teacher to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for young children. The ideal candidate will plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development while maintaining positive relationships with families and staff. Teachers are responsible for classroom management, daily documentation, supervising children, and ensuring compliance with all licensing and safety requirements. We are looking for a team player who is passionate about early childhood education and committed to helping children learn through play, exploration, and meaningful experiences.
