We are seeking a qualified Preschool Teacher to prepare small children for kindergarten by easing them into organized education. The teacher will introduce important elements of early education, fostering a love for learning with patience and understanding. The goal is to support the healthy mental and emotional development of children, facilitating their transition to subsequent educational levels.
Responsibilities
- Develop a creative and suitable program for preschool children.
- Use various educational techniques (storytelling, play, media) to teach children.
- Observe and support each child's social skills and self-esteem.
- Encourage positive interaction and conflict resolution among children.
- Guide children in developing artistic and practical skills through a structured curriculum.
- Organize nap and snack times, ensuring children's safety at all times.
- Track and report children's progress to parents.
- Communicate regularly with parents to understand each child's background.
- Collaborate with fellow educators.
- Maintain a clean, safe classroom environment in accordance with health standards.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Preschool Teacher preferred.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and preschool education methods.
- Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards for classrooms.
- Excellent communication and instructional skills.
- Ability to mediate among children.
- Friendly, reliable, and composed.
- Must hold a CDA (Child Development Associate) or be working towards an Associate Degree in Early Childhood or related field.
Schedule
- 10-hour or 8-hour shifts
- Day shifts only
- No nights or weekends
Experience
- Teaching: 1 year (preferred)
- Childcare: 1 year (preferred)
License/Certification
- Child Development Associate Certification (required)
