Duties

  • Engage in effective classroom management to maintain a safe, organized, and stimulating learning space.
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones.
  • Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention techniques to support diverse learning needs.
  • Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of incidents or concerns.
  • Provide first aid and CPR when necessary, ensuring the safety of all children at all times.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning, classroom activities, and school events to enhance the educational experience.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development related to childhood education, behavior management, and childcare best practices.
Qualifications
  • Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings is essential; classroom experience is highly valued.
  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education standards, and classroom management techniques.
  • Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, literacy education, math instruction, and physical education for young children.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
  • Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in childhood development or special education are a plus.
