Mass Audubon is seeking a certified Preschool Teacher for its nature-based Fern and Feather Preschool. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young children, a love for nature, and the ability to teach in both indoor and outdoor settings while adhering to EEC policies. Responsibilities include providing a safe and nurturing environment and collaborating with a team of educators to foster a connection to nature among preschoolers.
About This Position
We are seeking a Massachusetts Early Education and Care (EEC) certified Preschool Teacher to be part of a team of three early childhood educators at Mass Audubon’s Felix Neck Fern and Feather Preschool. The Preschool Teacher must have a love of nature and teaching outdoors. This position assists the primary teacher team during a portion of the school day, which is based on a nature-based, multi-sensory, play-based, anti-bias and emergent curriculum for multi-age groups (3-5 years) of children and includes typical school-based routine and tasks (transitions, large group time, bathroom time, snack time, etc.).
