Job summary

The Guild of St. Agnes seeks an EEC certified Preschool Teacher for our Charlton, MA location. You will shape the classroom under agency guidelines, leading, coordinating, and supporting a quality early childhood program.

A background in Child Growth and Development and at least 9 months of experience with young children are required. Responsibilities include ensuring child safety, assisting the Lead Teacher, and collaborating on in-class decisions to support optimal learning.

Qualifications

• EEC certification required.
• College-level study in Child Growth and Development.
• Minimum 9 months experience with infant, toddler or preschool children.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
• Support the Lead Teacher in creating and implementing an engaging learning environment.
• Participate in classroom decision-making to plan for the children’s best interests.

Job description

HOURS: M-F 8 hour shift with a 45 minute paid break

We are currently seeking an EEC certified Preschool Teacher at our Charlton, MA location. This individual will shape the classroom environment within agency guidelines by leading, coordinating, and making decisions to develop and maintain a quality early childhood program. This candidate will have taken Child Growth and Development at the College level and have a minimum of 9 months experience working with infant, toddler or preschool children.

Key responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the safety and well-being of the children at all times, being alert for their needs as individuals and as a group


• Supporting the Lead Teacher in creating and implementing an exciting and enriching learning environment for children


• Share in the classroom decision-making, finding a mutually agreeable plan that is best for the children
