Job summary

MARICOPA ELEMENTARY is seeking a Preschool Paraprofessional for Exceptional Student Services in Maricopa, AZ. The role supports instruction, supervision, testing, and translation for families, with part-time hours aligning to school site schedules.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, First Aid/CPR, and possibly bilingual capabilities. It offers the chance to contribute to student development within the district framework.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• PRAXIS or Work Keys accepted, or an Associate’s degree, or 60 college credits.
• Current First Aid and CPR required (or within 30 days of hire).
• Bilingual preferred; DPS fingerprint clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Assist instruction and supervision of students one-on-one and in groups.
• Supervise students during lunch, playground, and before/after school.
• Translate material for parents, students, and staff.
• Administer tests and assessments and maintain records.
• Maintain files and computer records.
• Assist instructor with duties related to instruction.
• May assist with toileting, hygiene, feeding, lifting as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
