Job summary

Guiding Hands Christian Academy is seeking a Support Teacher to care for young children in a loving, safe classroom. You will support social, emotional, cognitive, creative, and physical development in a nurturing environment.

Responsibilities include creating developmentally appropriate lesson plans, documenting activities, communicating with families, and upholding licensing standards in a fast-paced team setting.

Strong verbal communication and a cheerful, energetic attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a preschool environment
• Strong verbal communicator with an upbeat personality who is comfortable speaking to parents
• Energetic, nurturing, positive, child-friendly personality

Responsibilities

• Creates lesson plans that are balanced and appropriate to development levels
• Documents learning experiences through displays and pictures
• Maintains positive informal and formal communication with families daily
• Maintains a safe, comforting and stimulating environment for children
• Facilitates and maintains childcare licensing standards
