Job Description

Applications will be accepted for a nursing position in the Westfield Public School District for the 2026 Preschool Summer Program. This program will begin July 6, 2026 and continue for two weeks, Monday–Friday ending on July 17, 2026.

Training Date: July 1, 2026 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

Nurse Hours: 7:45 AM - 2:15 PM

Rate of Pay: $45 per hour with no benefits, not to exceed a total of 71 hours

Position Type: Summer

Salary: $45 to $45 per hour

Job Requirements

REQUIREMENTS
- Licensed Registered Nurse.
- Certified or certifiable as a School Nurse, Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
- CPR certified.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is generally conducted within the school building. Ability to travel throughout the school building is necessary. The position involves sitting and the ability to travel from one place to another within the classroom. Work is light in nature with regular lifting of up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds with some pulling and pushing or reaching above, generally of desk and file drawers. Frequent use of hands to operate keyboards and telephones and other office equipment.
