Job summary

YMCA of Central Maryland is seeking a Preschool Substitute Teacher to support classroom teachers and help implement activities aligned with long-range learning objectives. You may be called to work at multiple locations within the Y, ensuring the health, welfare, and safety of enrolled children.

You will contribute to creating an environment that fosters social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and creative development, assisting in preparing students for success in school and life.

Qualifications

• Enthusiasm for young children.
• Ability to clearly communicate with children, parents/guardians, and staff.
• Patience, good humor, and good judgment are valued.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher with activities and lesson plans.
• Work at various locations within the Y as needed.
• Ensure health, welfare, and safety of children in care.
