Job summary

Swhra is now accepting applications for the position of SUBSTITUTE in Haywood County. This is an on-call position that includes assisting the Head Start Teacher with preschool classrooms of up to 17 children. Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED and experience with preschool children is desired.

Salary is $10.82 per hour, with excellent training opportunities available. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis for the 2026-2027 school year.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience/training in working with preschool children desired.
• Pass physical exam, TB screen, drug screen, and criminal/fingerprint background check.
