Job summary

Anchor Bay School District – Anchor Bay Early Childhood Center in New Baltimore, MI seeks a Substitute Preschool Assistant to support the lead teacher in a toddler/preschool setting using the High/Scope approach. The role is on-call, immediate-start, and requires adherence to the Anchor Bay Preschool Core Curriculum and district policies.

The substitute will assist with daily activities, supervise children, maintain a safe classroom, and help with snack, prep work, and transitions.

Qualifications

• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher to provide a stimulating environment for toddlers and/or preschool children.
• Engage students in active learning and manage transitions between activities.
• Maintain a safe, clean classroom and cooperate with staff and administration.
• Support with bathroom assistance, snack prep, and setup for activities.
• Greet children, communicate with families when needed, and follow Center policies.
