Job summary

ADAPT Community Network is seeking a Preschool Special Education Floater Teacher for The Bronx Children's Program. The role includes a $5,000 SIGN-ON BONUS and leads the educational team for preschool and Early Intervention students.

The teacher manages IFSP/IEP planning, data collection, and collaboration with families and staff. A Master’s in SPED and NYS EC Birth-2 certification are required or a study plan path may apply.

Qualifications

• Masters in Special Education required.
• NY State Certification in Special Education Early Childhood Birth-2 required.
• May qualify with a Bachelor's degree and a current plan to complete the Master's or Certification.
• Ability to read, write, speak English.

Responsibilities

• Plans and conducts classes/activities adapted to needs of students.
• Implements IFSP/IEP goals and progress monitoring.
• Supervises Teacher Assistants and participates in staff meetings.
• Maintains records and writes progress reports.
• Supports student transitions and communicates with parents.
