Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum/Preferred Education level: High School or GED.
• Work Experience: Teacher assistant or similar paid/volunteer work; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certifications/ Licensures: Certifications/ Licensures Comments

Responsibilities

• Develops understanding of each student's specific disability.
• Maintains confidentiality of student information.
• Delivers emergency treatment procedures on students as needed.
• Assists with housekeeping chores and bulletin boards.
• Accompanies students to mainstreamed class assisting with tasks, which their disability would otherwise make difficult or impossible.
