Job summary

The Guidance Center in Romulus, MI is seeking a Site Aide for a 10-month, part-time position (24 hours/week) to assist in a preschool setting.

The role involves supporting teachers, supervising children, maintaining safety and confidentiality, completing paperwork, and attending trainings. A High School Diploma or GED is required, and candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stay active throughout class sessions.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents/caregivers, and staff.
• Must be physically able to stand and move for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist Teacher and Assistant Teacher in classroom management and daily routines.
• Supervise children to maintain staff ratios during bathroom trips and naptime.
• Maintain confidentiality of children and families.
• Complete paperwork and reports.
• Attend meetings and trainings as required.
