The Launchpad Preschool is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to protect staff, students, and visitors in a preschool setting. You will monitor access, patrol the premises, respond to alarms, and provide emergency medical assistance when needed.

Ideal candidates hold a Florida Class D Security Officer license, CPR certification, and familiarity with security equipment. This full-time role requires calm, professional communication and reliability during weekday hours.

Qualifications

Licenses: State of Florida Class D Security Officer license required. CPR certification required or provided if necessary.
Common knowledge of first aid is preferred.
Must be certified for use of a 9mm handgun if Class G license is possessed.
Knowledge of Florida security laws and firearms regulations is preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain the safety and security of the preschool premises.
Monitor and control access to the facility, ensuring authorized entry only.
Provide emergency medical assistance when necessary.
Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and visitors.
Patrol the premises regularly to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or hazards.
Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances.
