Qualifications

• Pennsylvania DHS child care center director qualifications are required.
• Minimum of two years of leadership or supervisory experience in a licensed center.
• Thorough knowledge of PA childcare licensing regulations and best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams and manage daily operations.
• Experience with Keystone STARS or accreditation programs preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Maintain all required clearances and certifications per PA regulations.

What We're Looking For

• Must meet Pennsylvania Child Care Center Director qualifications as outlined by the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (DHS) regulations.
• Minimum of two (2) years of leadership or supervisory experience in a licensed childcare center, preschool, or early childhood education program.
• Thorough knowledge of Pennsylvania childcare licensing regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices in early childhood education.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams, manage daily center operations, support staff performance, and foster a positive learning environment.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Educational Leadership, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Experience with Pennsylvania Keystone STARS, accreditation programs (NAEYC, COA, or similar), or other continuous quality improvement initiatives preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to maintain all required clearances, certifications, and ongoing professional development as required by Pennsylvania regulations.
