Qualifications

• Some knowledge of child development beneficial for working with students.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with teachers to provide instructional and enrichment assistance to individual students, and large and small groups.
• Designs suitable materials for classroom use, bulletin boards and educational displays.
• Supervises students in classrooms, lunchroom, playground, field trips, and other settings.
• Provides clerical support including grading, organizing student folders, typing and filing.
• Assists in maintaining student records such as grade records, report cards, and test scores.
• Provides general assistance to students in non-instructional situations.
• May administer minor first aid in the absence of other personnel.
• Attends building training meetings and school functions.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
