Job summary

Bobcat Citizen Preschool/Community Programs in Benson, AZ, seeks a Preschool Paraprofessional for the 2026-2027 school year. The role supports classroom activities at Benson Unified School District’s Bobcat Citizen Preschool, starting immediately and approx. 37.5 hours/week with full benefits.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and 3–6 months of childcare or education experience. Applicants must be prepared to work with diverse students and follow district and state

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3-6 months experience in childcare, education or working with children.

Responsibilities

• Observes and monitors control of students’ behavior in the classroom and other areas.
• Supervises large and small groups of students.
• Maintains ratios and keeps a daily attendance roster, including children going to and from the program.
• Interacts with children to extend language experiences and model positive behavior.
• Plans and supports activities to promote safety, respect and responsibility.
• Assists with daily cleaning and classroom organization.
• Establishes positive working relationships with staff, families and the community.
• Attends required staff meetings and professional development.
