Job summary

Marblehead Public Schools is seeking a preschool paraprofessional to support in an integrated preschool classroom at Marblehead Public-Lucretia & Joseph Brown School. The role is 24-30 hours per week with pay based on the Paraprofessionals Unit Contract.

Responsibilities include supporting instructional activities, assisting with ADLs, and implementing behavioral plans under teacher direction. May also serve as a bus monitor as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant experience preferred.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive milieu.
• Ability to participate in crisis intervention training provided by the district.
• Strong teamwork and communication with staff, students, and families.

Responsibilities

• Provides academic, social/emotional, and/or behavioral support to students as needed.
• Assists students with mobility, toileting, or other activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Implements, under direction, any behavioral plan or intervention for a child.
• Reports concerns to the preschool teacher.
• May serve as bus monitor for preschool students requiring specialized transportation.
• Performs related duties as identified by the teacher or coordinator.

Job Description

The Marblehead Public Schools is seeking a paraprofessional to support in an integrated preschool classroom.

The position is a 24-30 hour per week position with an hourly rate based on the collectively bargained Paraprofessionals Unit Contract.

• Takes direction from preschool teacher and Coordinator in the program
• Provides academic, social/emotional and/or behavioral assistance to students as necessary and as indicated by the preschool teacher
• Assist student(s) with mobility, toileting, or other activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Implement, under the direction of the preschool teacher and, if necessary, as trained, any behavioral plan or intervention strategy in effect for a particular child.
• Reports any particular academic, social-emotional, or behavioral concerns to the preschool teacher.
• May be required to serve as a bus monitor for preschool students who require specialized transportation.
• Perform any other related activity as identified by the preschool teacher or coordinator.
