Position Title: PARAPROFESSIONAL
Includes any 1:1 paraprofessionals that are academically supporting a student; Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certified; Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Restraint Trained; Assist with toileting; Support students requiring de-escalation, time outs, and/or restraints; Support student on behavior intervention plans (BIPS) through data collection and reinforcement under the supervision of classroom teacher and/or BCBA; Support Discrete Trial Training (DTT) under the supervision of classroom teacher and/or BCBA (includes Special Education, Regular Education, and Title I).
Qualifications: Paraprofessionals shall meet the requirements of a “Highly Qualified” paraprofessional as described in Title I of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act. The minimum qualifications include:
