Job summary

The Cedar Rapids Community School District Truman Early Learning Center in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking an Early Learning Para - Truman. This 7.5-hour-per-day, 4-day-a-week paraeducator position starts ASAP and pays $16.25 per hour.

You will supervise preschool students, support learning under licensed staff, and participate in district trainings to stay current in early childhood education. Candidates must meet education/certification requirements and work well with others.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 12 credit hours in early childhood education, a current CDA credential, two years post secondary education or Paraeducator certificate.
• Required to obtain pediatric first aid and CPR.
• Ability to work well with others and communicate effectively with staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students.
• Work with students individually or in group settings.
• Consistently monitor student's learning and behaviors.
• Be available for health, toileting, behavior, and self-help needs.
• Attend district workshops and trainings in order to continue learning about Early Childhood Education.
• Other duties as assigned.
