Job summary

The City of Lenexa invites applications for a Recreation Program Instructor to support Preschool Pals at the Lenexa Rec Center. You will lead activities, prepare lessons, and foster a welcoming environment for children ages 3.5–5.

This year-round, part-time role offers up to 12 hours per week, mainly Tuesday and Thursday mornings, with starting pay of 16.50 USD per hour and annual raises. Candidates should have a high school diploma, two years of related experience, CPR/First Aid, and a valid

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of experience in instruction, childcare, or customer service.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certified, or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging curriculum and lesson plans for Preschool Pals programming.
• Lead and supervise program participants in classroom activities.
• Assist with promoting classes, including content for Town Talk and marketing materials.
• Create a fun, safe, and inclusive environment for all participants.
• Maintain program materials and assist with classroom setup and cleanup.
