Job summary

Boothby Therapy Services is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) for a school-based position in Somerville, ME. This is a part-time role (2 days per week) supporting preschool students during the 2026-2027 school year.

The OT will conduct evaluations, develop and implement IEP goals, provide direct therapy, and collaborate with teachers and related services, focusing on fine motor skills, sensory processing, executive functioning, and ADLs.

Qualifications

• Active Maine Occupational Therapist license required.
• Degree in Occupational Therapy (Bachelor's, Master's or OTD).
• Experience or interest in pediatrics, school-based therapy, or special education.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide school-based occupational therapy services to students.
• Conduct OT evaluations and assessments.
• Develop and implement IEP goals.
• Deliver direct therapy (individual and small group sessions).
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, PTs, and SLPs.
• Support accommodations, adaptive equipment, and assistive technology.
• Participate in IEP meetings and team discussions.
• Maintain documentation, progress notes, and compliance records.
