Job summary

The Goddard School – State Bridge Road in Alpharetta, GA is seeking an Assistant Director of Operations to lead the day-to-day operations of our award-winning preschool serving families in Alpharetta and Johns Creek.

The role requires ownership, problem-solving, and coordination of staffing, events, enrollment, food service, and daily operations to create an exceptional experience for our children, families, and teachers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Business, or related field is preferred.
• 3–5 years of leadership/management experience in childcare or education is required.
• Preschool or childcare experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
• Must meet Georgia licensing requirements and complete required background checks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily school operations to ensure efficiency.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, onboarding, and coaching of staff.
• Support enrollment processes and provide exceptional family experience.
• Plan events and community outreach to grow enrollment.
• Lead marketing and social media efforts for the school.
• Oversee food service, inventory, and building operations.
• Ensure health, safety, and licensing compliance.
