Job summary

Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows is seeking an Early Morning Opener at our Reno, NV location. This part-time role runs from 6:30am to 9:30am, Monday through Friday, within our licensed child care facilities.

Responsibilities include checking in children, feeding infants, diaper changes, and providing a safe, nurturing environment for infants to five-year-olds. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED (Preferred) and the ability to pass background checks and Nevada licensing

Qualifications

• Caring individual who gets to know children by name.
• Willingness to complete Nevada licensing courses within 90 days.
• Great speaking and customer service skills to communicate with parents; English required; bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check children in and out.
• Feed infants and supervise meals as age appropriate.
• Change diapers as needed and soothe infants with songs and cuddling.
• Supervise infants, toddlers, and preschoolers on the floor.
• Maintain clean play, sleep and changing areas.
• Implement Conscious Discipline concepts.
• Help manage groups by age (0-9 months up to 4/5 years).

Job Details: Job Location: Early Learning Center 4 - Reno, NV 89503, Position Type: Part Time, Salary Range: $15.00 - $15.00 Hourly, If you are looking for an early morning shift, the Early Learning Centers of Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows is looking for you!

As an early morning opener working from 6:30am to 9:30am Monday through Friday at our licensed child care facilities, you will learn to:

• Check children in and out
• Give bottles to infants and feed solid foods as age appropriate
• Change diapers as needed
• Soothe infants by singing to and cuddling them
• Supervise and play with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers on the floor
• Understand your emotions and children's emotions through Conscious Discipline
• Ensure play, sleep and changing areas are kept clean

All in groups of the following sizes:

• Four (4) 0-9-month-olds
• Six (6) 9-18-month-olds
• Six (6) 18-24-month-olds
• Nine (9) 2-year-olds
• Twelve (12) 3-year-olds
• Thirteen (13) 4/5-year-olds

Multiple openings at our locations at:

• 785 W.6th Street,
• 605 S.21st Street,
• 3700 Safe Harbor Place.

• Great speaking and customer service skills to communicate effectively with parents; English required; bilingual preferred
• Willing to work with ages from 6 weeks to 5 years
• Able to lift up to 30 pounds
• Extended periods of time sitting on the floor
