Job summary

AHRC New York City is seeking a Preschool Occupational Therapist for Francis of Paola ELC in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The role is full-time with hours from 8:30 A.M. to 3:00 P.M., supporting a 10-month program plus a 30-day summer session.

Responsibilities include interpreting assessment data, establishing goals, preparing IEPs and progress reports, and collaborating with classroom staff to maximize student function. NYS OT license and pediatric experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Occupational Therapy required.
• New York State License required.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• Ability to work with children with developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret assessment data to present students’ needs and abilities.
• Establish short- and long-term goals based on assessment data.
• Prepare IEPs, daily treatment plans and Progress Reports as needed.
• Work in classroom with staff to maximize function and compensate for dysfunction.
• Provide purposeful activities to develop, maintain, or maximize function.
