Strides Therapy & Educational Services is seeking a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Leesburg, FL to support PreK students in a dedicated center setting. The role involves assessments, individualized plans, and collaboration with teachers and families to promote language success.

The SLP will provide evidence-based interventions, prepare IEP-related documents, and stay current with best practices in school-based care. Eligible for comprehensive benefits and licensure support.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Florida state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist is required.
• CCC-SLP from ASHA is required unless CF is pursuing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based speech-language interventions to improve articulation, language, and fluency.

Position Overview

As a School-Based Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in helping students overcome communication challenges, improve their speech and language skills, and achieve their educational goals. Your expertise will be essential in promoting students' overall success and well-being in the school environment.

Additional Details:

Lake County is looking for a full-time SLP at Rimes Early Learning and Literacy Center. This public school is unique as it is only for PreK-aged students. There is also a full-time direct hire SLP at the school site.

Responsibilities

• The Speech Language Pathologist will conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify students' communication disorders and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based speech and language pathology interventions and strategies to improve students' communication, articulation, fluency, and language skills.
• Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other members of the school-based team to create and implement strategies that support students' participation in the classroom and social activities.
• Monitor and document students' progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Offer guidance and education to parents, teachers, and support staff on strategies to enhance students' communication skills and facilitate carryover into the classroom.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including session notes, progress reports, and billing documentation.
• Stay current with the latest research, best practices, and techniques in speech-language pathology.
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, team meetings, and school-based professional development opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and ethical standards governing speech-language pathology services in schools.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• FL State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) unless a CF.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in private practice or outpatient settings preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance billing and documentation practices is a plus.
• Dedication to providing culturally competent and client-centered care.
