Job summary

Cadence Education seeks a Preschool Lead Teacher to guide a classroom and ensure a safe, engaging learning environment. You will plan and deliver developmentally appropriate curriculum and support children’s growth, including those with IEPs, while collaborating with families and staff.

The role emphasizes professional leadership, adherence to licensing requirements, and active participation in ongoing trainings and development to uphold Cadence Education standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6–12 months of early childhood or classroom experience preferred.
• Must meet state licensing requirements for Lead Teachers in a licensed childcare center.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Build positive relationships with children and families through daily greetings and ongoing communication.
• Recognize and respond to diverse developmental and learning needs, including IEPs and behavioral support plans.
• Plan, implement, and document developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with Cadence programs.
• Use Cadence systems to communicate with families, coworkers, and leadership.
• Maintain a safe, supervised classroom following Cadence Safety guidelines.
• Document and report incidents per policy and licensing requirements.
• Follow all Cadence policies and procedures as outlined in the handbook.
• Participate in trainings, meetings, and professional development, including outside-hours sessions.
