Job summary

Cadence Education in Rochester, MN is hiring a Preschool Lead Teacher to establish a warm, safe, and engaging classroom aligned with our curriculum and Signature Programs.

You will partner with families and staff to support each child’s growth, including those with IEPs, while delivering developmentally appropriate instruction and maintaining high safety standards. A degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred and licensing requirements must be met.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• Must meet state licensing requirements for Lead Teachers in a licensed childcare center.
• 6–12 months of early childhood or classroom experience preferred depending on education and credentials.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Build positive, professional relationships with children and families.
• Recognize and respond to diverse developmental, behavioral, cultural, and learning needs (IEPs, behavior plans).
• Plan, implement, and document developmentally appropriate curriculum.
• Use Cadence communication tools to communicate professionally with families and staff.
• Maintain a safe and well-supervised classroom.
• Document and report accidents and incidents per policy and licensing requirements.
• Follow Cadence policies and the Employee Handbook.
• Participate in trainings and meetings, including outside regular hours.
