Job summary

Cadence Education in Ridgefield, CT is seeking a Preschool Lead Teacher to foster a warm, inclusive classroom and deliver Cadence-based curricula. Under the School Director, you will collaborate with families and staff to support each child’s growth, safety, and learning outcomes.

You’ll manage classroom activities, document progress, and participate in ongoing professional development to maintain high standards across programs.

Qualifications

• Must meet state licensing requirements for Lead Teachers in a licensed childcare center.
• 6–12 months of early childhood or classroom experience preferred.
• CDA, CCP, EEC or NAC credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, welcoming classroom environment where every child is treated with dignity and care.
• Lead classroom operations and deliver developmentally appropriate curriculum.
• Plan, implement, and document curriculum aligned with Cadence educational philosophy and Signature Programs.
• Use Cadence systems to communicate professionally with families and colleagues.
• Maintain a safe, well-supervised classroom following Cadence Safety policies.
• Document and report accidents or incidents per policy and licensing requirements.
• Participate in trainings, meetings, and professional development.
