Job Description

SCHEDULE: 9:00AM - 6:00PM

We are looking for a dedicated, seasoned professional interested in creating a welcoming loving classroom environment for children age 3-4 Years Old.

Our classes are designed for teachers to co-lead. Lesson planning and classroom responsibilities are shared between co-teachers. This allows for better consistency in the implementation of the curriculum as well as a supportive collaborative environment for our staff. Teachers are encouraged to use their experience, education, and creativity to create a hands-on play-based curriculum for their students.

Our mission is to provide a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment built on love, trust, and respect. We teach our students and engage our families by modeling these values and implement a well-rounded education centered on a play-based curriculum to encourage and inspire confidence, independence, investigative and passionate learners.

Duties of Lead Teachers include:

  1. Meeting the individual needs of the children
  2. Lesson Planning
  3. Communication with parents
  4. Participation in staff and training meetings
  5. Interacting with the children to support play, exploration, and learning
  6. Presenting expectations that are appropriate to the child’s age and developmental level
  7. Planning and implementing activities that develop self-esteem and social skills
  8. Communicating appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff
  9. Building teamwork
  10. Professional commitment to continuing education

Job Requirements

Teacher Qualifications:

  1. Professional & Kind Attitude
  2. 1 Year prior classroom experience
  3. Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices
  4. Strong written and communication skills
  5. Lead teacher requirements as outlined by the Department of Education of Virginia
  6. Preferred: CDA, associate degree, bachelor’s degree, master’s degree

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $16.00 - $23.70 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Ability to commute/relocate: Vienna, VA 22182: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Education: High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience: Childcare: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification: CPR Certification (Preferred)

Work Location: In person
