Essential Functions:

• Manage classroom ensuring compliance with DELAWARE STATE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION ~ DELAWARE FIRST regulations, company standards, policies, and procedures.
• Provide a welcoming and friendly environment for children, parents, and visitors.
• Maintain attractive classroom displays and an informative Parent Board.
• Create and implement age-appropriate, stimulating lesson plans aligned with weekly themes and curriculum.
• Supervise children during activities and use positive discipline techniques.
• Ensure classroom cleanliness, appearance, and safety.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately.
• Support and guide assistant teachers to ensure smooth classroom operations.
• Communicate effectively with parents, providing updates and addressing concerns.
• Identify and resolve classroom and center issues collaboratively.

Qualifications

Physical Demands: Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, lifting, and carrying; ability to lift 50 pounds.

Education/Experience: AA (or credit equivalent) in Early Childhood, Elementary Education, Psychology, Child Development, Family Studies, or related field preferred.
