The Goddard School located in Collegeville, PA is seeking a passionate, seasoned, energetic and positive Lead Teacher for our Preschool I classroom. Lead Teacher Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum and Instruction:
- Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities using Goddard's proprietary curriculum - expand as little or as much as you want - you have the flexibility to what's inspiring and appropriate for your students!
- Foster a love of learning through creative, hands-on, engaging teaching methods using endless resources.
- Observe and assess children's development and adjust activities accordingly; Use the developmental data you receive through our advanced assessment platform to adjust your lessons according to where the child is developmentally.
- Classroom Management:
- Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment - Your room is your space! We encourage an inviting, warm, and child-centered environment.
- Manage daily routines and transitions smoothly.
- Address behavioral issues with positive guidance and support.
- Family Communication:
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress and daily activities - via in-person and electronically via Daily Reports and communication app.
- Conduct parent-teacher conferences and provide regular updates.
- Encourage family involvement and participation in school activities.
- Health and Safety:
- Ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of the classroom and common areas.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and procedures.
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Professional Development:
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
- Stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to share ideas and strategies.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred.
- Child Development Associate (CDA) preferred.
- 2-4 years of previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting preferred.
- Develops relationships and communicates effectively with children, parents, and faculty members.
- Can work collaboratively with others.
- Enjoys working with positive, like-minded people who are passionate about education.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children.
