Job summary

Utah State University Brigham City is seeking a proactive Lab Coordinator for the Child Development Lab preschool. You will oversee instructors, student interns, and staff, coordinating sessions in fall and spring while ensuring developmentally appropriate activities for enrolled children.

You will plan lessons with teachers, register students, maintain accreditation, and collaborate with the main campus to align curriculum.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with early childhood endorsements; Master’s preferred.
• Experience with young children in an education setting.
• Willing to obtain CPR/First Aid and other credentials as required by NAEYC.
• Willing and able to work a flexible schedule based on center needs.

Responsibilities

• Plan lessons and create activities; ensure coverage for each session.
• Register students and communicate with parents for the best learning environment.
• Maintain accreditation standards, complete reports, and handle inspections.
• Coordinate with USU campus to ensure standard curriculum for preschool and student teachers.
• Create a positive environment for parents, children, and college students in the lab.
• Demonstrate proper teaching techniques to student teachers and staff.
• Oversee safety requirements and ensure a safe experience for kids.
• Procure and maintain stock of supplies and snacks; manage outdoor play area.
