Job summary

The Learning Experience in Burleson, TX is seeking a caring Preschool Cook to join our team. You will prepare healthy meals and snacks for children, while helping maintain a safe, happy, and welcoming kitchen environment each day.

Responsibilities include planning and cooking, following the center menu, ordering supplies, tracking child food allergies, and upholding food safety standards. A HS diploma and 1+ year cooking experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1+ year of experience in food preparation and cooking.
• Food handling certificate or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and cook healthy meals and snacks for preschool children.
• Follow the center menu and assist with updates as needed.
• Order food and supplies through the center's approved vendor website.
• Run occasional errands for kitchen needs.
• Maintain and track food allergies for each child and communicate to teachers daily.
• Follow food safety, handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.
