Job summary

Bright Horizons’ Bright Generations Downtown location is seeking a Cook to plan and prepare nutritious, family-style meals that support children’s health, growth, and learning. You’ll contribute to a warm, predictable routine for children, educators, and staff, with working hours from 7am to 2pm.

You will follow approved menus and safety procedures, manage inventory, and collaborate with center staff to ensure smooth daily meal service while pursuing growth opportunities within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED required.
• Food handler certification within 30 days of hire required.
• Nutrition coursework or certification preferred.
• Food service experience in childcare, school cafeteria, or high-volume setting preferred.
• ServSafe certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare balanced, family-style meals and snacks following approved menus and dietary guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, safe kitchen by following food safety, sanitation, and health procedures.
• Manage inventory and place orders with approved vendors; support daily meal service.
