Job summary

Russell County Schools Jamestown Elementary in Jamestown, Kentucky is seeking an Instructional Assistant__JES (Current position preschool assistant) to support classroom activities and supervise students.

The role involves a 7 hrs per day/180 days school year schedule, assisting teachers, attending trainings, and performing related duties as assigned by the principal or program director.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or enrolled in GED program.
• Ability to develop positive, professional relationships with students, teachers, administrators and parents.
• Willing to participate in training sessions.
• Available to participate in non-teaching assignments and extracurricular activities.
• Must complete all required employment forms and applications.
• Render health services as necessary after appropriate training.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the principal or program director.
• Must be able to implement approved job description.
• Use professional and respectful communication to students and all faculty members.
• Must meet ESSA paraprofessional requirements.
