Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• 60 College Credit Hours or AA Degree or proof of passing a State-approved Para-professional assessment.
• First Aid/ CPR Training.
• Proof of immunity to Measles, German Measles, Mumps.
• Fingerprint Clearance Card IVP.
• Ability to obtain a Food Handler Card.

Responsibilities

• Adapts classroom work under the direction of the teacher to support classroom objectives.
• Administers evaluations to assist the teacher in evaluating student progress.
• Provide first-aid and assist medically fragile or injured students under supervision.
• Assist teachers and parents in implementing lesson plans and developing students’ adaptive and behavioral skills.
• Confers with teachers, parents or appropriate personnel to evaluate student progress and objectives.
• Implements behavioral plans to support students’ social and daily living skills.
