Job summary

MORETOWN ELEMENTARY SCH in Moretown, Vermont seeks an Instructional Assistant/Paraeducator (.4 FTE) to support preschool students. Reports to classroom and special education staff; non-exempt status with pay between $21 and $35 per hour.

You will assist with academics, life skills, and social-emotional learning, adapt materials, supervise during absences and field trips, and participate in team meetings to refine instructional strategies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in education preferred.
• Experience with students with disabilities or special education needs preferred.
• First Aid or CPR training desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist students individually or in small groups with academics, life skills, and social-emotional learning.
• Adapt materials and instructional methods with teachers to meet student needs.
• Support students' physical needs and supervise during absences, field trips, and events.
• Assist with assessments to monitor progress and participate in team meetings to refine strategies.
