Job summary

The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties in Sumner, WA is seeking a part-time Preschool Gymnastics Instructor to lead classes for children ages 3-5. You will plan progression-based lessons and supervise safe, fun activities in a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass Background and Reference checks (in accordance with the WA State Fair Chance Act).

• Able and willing to complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day, and other online and in-person training as required.
• Knowledge and experience in teaching gymnastics and/or years of personal gymnastics experience.
• A positive attitude and experience with youth and diverse populations.
• Ability to demonstrate a friendly, courteous, and professional manner with members, parents, and staff.

• Enforce all safety rules and regulations in the gymnastics gym.

• Incorporate and discuss the YMCA values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility

Job description

Position: Preschool Gymnastics Instructor

Wage:$17.13 to $17.89 per hour (Compensation is determined based on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications, with most new hires starting between the minimum and midpoint of the posted wage range)

Hours:Part-Time, Up to 25 hours per week

Location:Gordon Family YMCA, Sumner, WA

As a Preschool Gymnastics Instructor, you will be responsible for providing direct leadership, instruction, and motivation for preschool children ages 3-5yrs, teaching gymnastics skills and progression.
