ADAPT Community Network is seeking a General Education Teacher for the William O'Connor- Midwood School for the 2026-2027 school year. This 10-month role runs September through June and includes a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

The teacher will lead a school team, supervise assistants, and contribute to curriculum development within a supportive, equity-focused organization. The ideal candidate holds a Master's in Early Childhood Education and NYS Certification (Birth-2nd) with experience meeting diverse

• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with a PC and appropriate software.
• Must maintain confidentiality of student and staff records.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and conduct classes/activities adapted to needs of students.
• Assess and prepare IFSP/IEP goals; implement and evaluate objectives.
• Supervise Teacher Assistants and participate in team meetings.
• Interview, hire, discipline, and evaluate staff as needed.
• Maintain attendance, progress records, and reports.
