About the Role:

After three successful years, our Executive Director has been promoted, and we are seeking a passionate leader to take the helm at The Goddard School of Deerfield. The Director is responsible for daily operations, staff support, family engagement, and maintaining high standards of care and education.

Responsibilities include:

1. Operational Leadership: Oversee daily school operations, staff scheduling, compliance, and community milestones.
2. Faculty Support & Development: Recruit, train, mentor staff, lead meetings, and conduct evaluations.
3. Curriculum & Classroom Oversight: Support curriculum delivery, classroom management, and observe classrooms.
4. Administrative & Financial Management: Manage payroll, budgeting, and records.
5. Family & Community Engagement: Build relationships, address concerns, and represent the school.
6. Safety & Facility Management: Maintain a safe environment, oversee drills, incident reports, and maintenance.
7. Tech & Communication: Use digital platforms for communication and organization.
8. Leadership & Initiative: Lead independently and collaboratively, inspire staff and families.

Schedule & Expectations:

Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with flexibility. Occasional longer days, monthly virtual meetings, and 2–3 weekend events yearly.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (required)
• Director-qualified by DCFS (required)
• 5+ years in early childhood education, including 3+ in leadership
• Strong organizational, communication, and tech skills
• Passion for children and staff development
