Job summary

Merryhill School is seeking a Preschool Teacher to lay the foundation for lifelong learning by creating a safe, nurturing environment for our youngest students. You will foster curiosity, independence, and confidence through purposeful play and hands-on learning.

You will plan age-appropriate curriculum and collaborate with educators to meet program goals while maintaining clear communication with families and adhering to health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• ECE units required or a related bachelor's degree in Child Development.
• Child Development Associate Certification (CDA) preferred.
• Patience and genuine love for working with young children.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Prior early childhood teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and implement age-appropriate curriculum focused on early literacy, language development, math concepts, motor skills, and social-emotional growth.
• Create a classroom culture that nurtures individuality while promoting curiosity and confidence.
• Provide a structured yet playful environment through developmentally appropriate activities.
• Collaborate with fellow educators and school leadership to align with program goals and best practices.
• Maintain regular, positive communication with families through daily updates, reports, and conferences.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety policies, licensing regulations, and developmental standards.
