Job summary

Youth In Need, Inc. is hiring a Preschool Educator to create a warm, welcoming classroom and partner with parents to support each child's potential.

Requirements include a Bachelor's or higher in ECE/Child Development (or CDA credential eligibility) and 3+ years in a Head Start or licensed program, with a valid driver's license and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development from an accredited college/university.
• If you do not have this degree, we will support you in obtaining the CDA Credential.
• 3+ years' experience in Head Start or licensed community childcare preferred.
• Driver's License and CPR certification are required.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, welcoming preschool classroom environment and partner with parents and colleagues to support children's growth.
• Demonstrate exemplary responsive care with strong classroom management and developmentally appropriate practice.
• Plan engaging lessons aligned with developmentally appropriate practices and early childhood standards.

This Position:

We are interested in Preschool Teachers with a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Early Childhood education or Child Development from an accredited college/university. A related degree will be considered with at least 36 hours in ECE/Child Development. If you do not have this degree, we will support you in obtaining a CDA Credential.

We're looking for someone with 3+ years' experience working in a Head Start Program or a licensed community childcare program, preferred.

Driver's License and ability to be CPR certified are required.

This is an hourly position, starting at $22.14hour with the required CDA credential or equivalent or $16.29/hour prior to obtaining the required CDA credential or equivalent.
